Soot on the icecap:
At last (20C or not 20C? That is the Climate Question Tim Lenton  NATURE vol. 473 no. 7345 page 7) they are noticing that soot on the Arctic icecap is a serious issue when it comes to melting that icecap.  Let’s go over the logic one more time:

  1. The global climate is hotter sometimes and colder sometimes.
  2. It’s always hottest just before it starts to get cold.
  3. Melting the icecap is going to start making things seriously hotter
  4. It will also produce profound changes in the northern hemisphere summer weather pattern.
  5. It can get cold really fast. 

Five more steps to go.  I don’t think they’ll ever make it.
